This sixth edition of From Neuron to Brain provides students with a readable and up-to-date textbook for undergraduate, graduate, and medical school neuroscience courses. Continuing the focus of previous editions, this volume covers experiments using electrical recordings, molecular and cellular biological techniques, and behavioral studies of the nervous system. In laboratories and clinics today, new findings are being discovered through the development of research lines.
Anyone curious about the workings of the nervous system will find From Neuron to Brain helpful, regardless of their background in biology.
With From Neuron to Brain, I have access to the best available coverage of topics in my course, in a format and level of detail that is appropriate for advanced undergraduates.,Stephen M. Meriney, University of Pittsburgh
The book presents neuroscience in a context of experimental findings. The rich stories of experimental discoveries give students a much better understanding of neuroscience, which is much more satisfying., J. David Spafford, University of Waterloo
